British Airways new aircraft debuts in Dubai

Flying premier class between the UK and Dubai may have just become easier.

British Airways' new Boeing 777-300ER was recently unveiled in Dubai, and features a brand new interior that is sure to wow first and business class travelers.

According to the manufacturer, The aircraft is quieter and more fuel-efficient than any other plane in the sky and is the first of its kind to join the UK-based fleet.

Along with new seats, the in-flight entertainment system has also received an upgrade. The on-demand offering will now feature more than 700 hours of television, films and music on screens that are 60 percent larger than before.

The most notable improvements have been made to the business class cabins where there will be brand new lie-flat seats and a new airfare rate.

Known as I class, the new fare will be available to business class passengers starting later this year, according to the airline.

“Our introduction of the B777-300ER is British Airways at its innovative best," said Willie Walsh, chief executive of the airline. “It is also the greenest in our long haul fleet, generating 15% less CO2 emissions per seat."
