Business class fares falling in Australia

There is good news for those business travelers who are looking to save on international airfare.

According to The Australian, travelers are saving up to $3,000 on business class tickets around the world compared to last fall.

Flying business class has become more affordable for flights to many destinations, including Los Angeles, Bangkok and Manila, according to the news source. Fares to those cities are down by an estimated 40 percent, leaving business class travelers with more money in their pockets.

Travelers flying to Los Angeles from Australia last year paid about $7,279 to sit in business class, while currently that ticket starts at $4,297, according to the news source.

The news source looked at travel fares between August 2009 and August 2010, in order to come to these conclusions.

“This trend is very much price driven, with a softening in international business travel forcing airlines to discount their premium seats to maintain occupancy levels,” Travel.com.au General Manager, Lisa Ferrari, told the news source. “Now is the time to book your business class ticket.”ADNFCR-3467-ID-19941361-ADNFCR
