Business class passengers treated to award winning wine on South African Airways

Travelers who purchase business class tickets will be given the opportunity to enjoy two award wining wines while on their long haul flight back home.

South African Airways recently announced that it has selected two Fleur du Cap wines for its business class offerings. The wines that will be served will be the Unfiltered Chardonnay and the Bergkelder Selection Merlot.

Through the month of December, passengers will be treated to the Chardonnay, which has a rich mouth feel and fruity flavor that hints at some spices and fruit. The Merlot will be served through March.

The business class cabins on South Africa Airline feature lie-flat beds that are 24 inches wide - one of the largest in the industry. Along with a comfortable bed, the seats also feature a personal reading light, privacy screen, massage function and personal power supply. Travelers will also be given a duvet and pillow in order to ensure that they are comfortable for the duration of the flight.

Meals onboard the flight will be centered around South African foods, and travelers will have the choice between two light meals, four hot dishes a dessert and a cheese platter, in order to quell those mid-flight hunger pangs.
