Continental Airlines installing new flat-bed seats

Flying premiere class on Continental Airlines is about to get more luxurious.

According to Luxury Travel Magazine, the flat-bed seats that the airline debuted last year are now being installed on aircraft used for long-haul international flights.

The seats are being installed on Continental’s Boeing 777 and 757 fleets, according to the news source, and 25 planes already have been fitted with the new seats.

New BusinessFirst seats will recline a full 180 degrees and allow passengers to stretch out over 6 feet and 6 inches of sleeping space, according to the airline’s website. The seat also features laptop power, headset and USB plugs, along with a 15.4-inch television monitor.

Continental currently flies the Boeing 777 on routes to Beijing, Frankfurt, Tokyo and Shanghai along with other popular destinations, according to the company website.

As the world’s fifth largest airline, Continental Airlines offers more than 2,600 daily flights throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas. The Star Alliance member employs more than 40,000 employees around the world and serves an estimated 63 million passengers a year.ADNFCR-3467-ID-19919870-ADNFCR
