Business class travelers may have slowly noticed that the quality of food is steadily mirroring that of a five star restaurant on many flights. One airline has risen above the rest and has been recognized for their high quality food offerings.
Continental Airlines recently announced that it has received the "Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier," award for airlines out of the Americas, during the PAX International Readership Awards 2010.
This is the second consecutive year that the airline has been given the award for its meal service.
"We are excited to receive this award for the second straight year and to be in such great company with other award-winning airlines and caterers from around the world," said Sandra Pineau-Boddison, food services vice president of the airline. "We work hard to ensure our customers receive meals of the highest quality."
PAX International is a travel publication that comes out six times a year that covers the travel catering industry. Along with its publications, the company has a bi-monthly newsletter that is devoted to airline cabin service and catering for airlines, railroads and cruises.
