Emirates Airlines wins CAPA Airline of the Year Award

Business class travelers who purchase premier class tickets in order to enjoy the luxuries of flying might find the new rankings of their favorite airlines particularly interesting.

Emirates recently announced that they were named the winner of the Center for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) Airline of the Year Award for 2010.

The award ceremony took place during the seventh annual Asian Aviation Outlook summit, which showcases airlines and airline CEOs from around the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.

The Airline of the Year award is given to carriers that have had a large impact on the development of the airline industry in the region, along with offering first-class service to premier class travelers.

“Emirates’ achievements in the past year have been extraordinary, as one of the most profitable and fastest-growing airlines in the world," said CAPA chairman Peter Harbison. "Emirates’ influence on competitor airline strategy continues to increase, as it aggressively enters new markets and expands others and demonstrates leadership in high-quality passenger service."
