Emirates wins PAX award for in-flight meals

Emirates, the Dubai-based airline, recently announced that it has won the PAX International Readership Award for its in-flight meals.

The airline was awarded the Outstanding Food Service by a Carrier for the Middle East recognition, due to the five-star meals that the airline is famous for serving to its first and business class passengers. It is the third time that the airline has won this award.

“In-flight catering is an integral part of the travel experience and the award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation, diversity and consistently high quality cuisine on-board,” said Robin Padgett, the vice president of catering for the airline.“Our on-board dining experience is further enhanced by our award-winning inflight entertainment system and multi-cultural cabin crew, which provides our customers with a distinct, memorable experience.”

First class passengers are served meals on china and on tables that are covered in linen. Travelers can look forward to waking up and enjoying a breakfast full of fruit, yogurt, cereal and a choice of some hot dishes.

For lunch and dinner, first and business class passengers will be able to enjoy hot meals, salads, soups and cocktails.
