Etihad to increase business class capacity between Abu Dhabi and Chicago

Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, has announced that it will increase capacity in the business class cabin on flights to Chicago later this year, reports SkyClub News.

The Middle Eastern carrier operates flights to two destinations in the United States - O'Hare International Airport in Chicago and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

Capacity on the Abu Dhabi-Chicago route will be increased thanks to the introduction of a new Boeing 777-300ER jet. The jet, which has seating for 412 passengers, will feature 28 seats in its Pearl Business Class.

Passengers in Pearl Business Class will be able to enjoy seats that convert to a lie-flat bed measuring over six feet long. Each seat features a privacy shell, adjustable headrest, lumbar support and a footrest for maximum comfort.

Additionally, Etihad's business class cabin has aisle access for each seat. People traveling in business class can use personal 16-inch LCD TVs and in-seat power sockets, and they can order gourmet meals and fine wines at any point during the flight.
