Hainan Airlines becomes seventh carrier worldwide to win Skytrax Five-Star Rating

Hainan Airlines, a carrier based in Hainan, China, has been named an official "Skytrax Five-Star Airline" by the air travel rating service, making it only the seventh airline worldwide to win the honor.

Speaking at an award ceremony hosted by Skytrax, Chen Feng, the chairman of the group that owns the carrier, said that "by winning the Skytrax five-star award, Hainan Airlines now becomes one of the most successful brands in the industry."

Hainan Airlines offers service to destinations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America, including Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the United States.

According to SkyClub News, business class on Hainan's Airbus A330-200 aircraft features 36 seats arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration. Each seat has 74 inches of legroom and converts into a lie-flat bed. Amenities include silk pillows, slippers, an espresso machine, and a personalized entertainment system with dozens of movies and TV shows.

Passengers in Hainan Airlines' business class cabin are also treated to a range of meals and snacks from both Western and Chinese cuisine.
