Layout of China Southern A380 superjumbo revealed

China Southern Airlines, the largest airline in Asia in terms of fleet size and number of passengers carried, will soon fly an Airbus A380 superjumbo jet equipped with both first and business class cabins, reports Business Traveller.

The carrier's new A380 was reportedly flown to Hamburg, Germany, for painting and cabin installation in March, with final delivery of the aircraft expected sometime later this year.

According to the source, the first class cabin will be located at the front end of the plane's lower deck. The eight seats in this premium section will be arranged in two rows, with each row featuring a 1-2-1 layout. This set-up provides passengers with privacy, while it also gives aisle access to every seat.

On the plane's upper deck, premium passengers will find 70 seats in the business class cabin. Like the first class section downstairs, this area will be equipped with seats laid out in a staggered 1-2-1 arrangement.

Although the airline has not yet announced which routes will be served by the new jet, American passengers may be able to ride on the new aircraft on the carrier's route between Los Angeles and its hub in Guangzhou.
