Media outlet reviews business class cabin on Air New Zealand flight to Los Angeles

Stuff, a New Zealand news outlet, has written a review of the business class experience on Air New Zealand's flight from Auckland to Los Angeles.

The business class cabin on the route, which is served using a Boeing 747-400 jet, seats 46 people, 10 on the top deck and 36 on the main deck. The 22-inch wide seats have 79.5 inches of pitch, and each seat folds flat to allow passengers to sleep.

Seats are arranged in a herringbone pattern, so passengers face inward towards the aisle at a 45-degree angle. Stuff said that having the seat directly face another passenger took a bit of getting used to, but generally the convenience of easy access to the aisle from every chair made up for it.

The inflight entertainment system allowed the reviewer to choose from a range of TV shows, games and 76 movies. Other amenities included an eye mask, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste, ear plugs, moisturizer and lip balm.

Dinner included an option between eye fillet, salmon or roast chicken with a spiced prawn appetizer. The reviewer chose the beef and wrote that it was good, albeit saucy. The reviewer heaped praise on Air New Zealand's breakfast options, which included smoothies, fruit, cereal, bread, scrambled eggs, sausage, hotcakes and bacon rolls.
