Singapore Airlines to serve Japanese cuisine on flights between Tokyo and LA

Those who purchase a first or business class ticket on a Singapore Airlines flight between Tokyo and Los Angeles can look forward to an authentic Japanese dining experience.

According to The Financial, beginning on October 31, the airline will offer its first and business class customers a fine dining experience with a menu crated by renowned Kaiseki chef, Yoshihiro Murata. The meals will be five-courses and appeal to the sophisticated palates of passengers in premier classes.

“To capture the authenticity and finesse of a Japanese fine dining experience, we prepare our Japanese meals in a traditional way with the freshest in-season produce and present them with a touch of modernity," Yap Kim Wah, Singapore Airlines’ senior vice president product and services, told the news source.
"I am certain that our new Japanese meals will provide customers an exciting and delicious sensory experience in the sky,”.

The meal will begin with cold dishes like Mukozuke and Oshinogi, which will then be followed up by entrees like lobster poached in white miso soup and grilled duck, according to the news source.

Singapore Airlines will start offering flights twice a day to Tokyo from Los Angeles starting on October 31.
