Thai Airways hires celebrity chef Tommy Tang to create menu
Travelers in first and business class are often presented with menus the rival five-star restaurants. Now, Thai Airways is stepping up to the plate and offering up a menu that is specifically crafted for them.
Thai Airways recently announced that it has hired celebrity chef Tommy Tang to create a menu that is both nutritious and delicious, according to JustLuxe.com.
The celebrity menu is available on flights from Los Angeles to Bangkok, and will then be presented to passengers on all flights starting late September through November.
Tang's signature meals include grilled Thai tiger prawn with mango salsa, organic baby lettuce, Pad Thai noodles with grilled salmon, along with many other offerings, according to the news source. His menu also includes breakfast offerings and desserts.
"We are excited to be offering world-class, healthy culinary creations to our valued passengers," said Sutsveta Svetasobhana, Thai Airways' general manager of USA, Central and South America. "Not only are the dishes simply delicious, they are designed with our passengers' health as a priority."
