American Airlines changes terminals in Frankfurt, allows passengers to use JAL lounge

American Airlines recently announced that it is relocating to a new terminal at Frankfurt Airport, allowing its premium passengers to enjoy the Sakura Lounge operated by Oneworld alliance partner Japan Airlines, according to a press release.

By moving to Frankfurt's Terminal 2, American's passengers will be able to more easily connect with flights operated by other members of the Oneworld airline alliance. In addition to American, Oneworld members in Terminal 2 include British Airways, Iberia, Finnair, Malev, S7, Royal Jordanian, Japan Airlines (JAL), Qantas, Cathay Pacific and LAN.

Additionally, passengers flying in business class on American Airlines can use JAL's Sakura Lounge, a Japanese-inspired facility which features amenities like shower rooms, free internet, a business center and food and drinks.

"The relocation and opportunity for our customers to enjoy JAL's Sakura Lounge at Frankfurt is another example of how our quality oneworld partners enable us to continue providing a terrific travel experience for our customers," said Kurt Stache, American's vice president for international affairs.
