American Airlines opens innovative Admirals Club lounge in San Francisco

Business travelers on American Airlines flights departing from San Francisco International Airport can now take advantage of a new Admirals Club lounge, which is located in the California hub's recently-opened Terminal 2, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

The new terminal, which American shares with Virgin America, has been touted as one of the country's most groundbreaking travel facilities, and frequent fliers will find that the Admirals Club lounge helps take premium service to a new level.

American's Terminal 2 lounge covers 10,000 square feet of space, providing room for up to 165 travelers at once. The facility offers a range of amenities, including a business center equipped with Hewlett Packard computers, free wireless internet access, plenty of electrical outlets, numerous flat-screen TVs and even showers.

In addition to these amenities, the San Francisco Admirals Club also has innovative interior design, featuring fireplaces and even pine trees. Best of all, the lounge is American's first-ever LEED-certified facility, making it one of the world's "greenest" places for business travelers to relax before their flight.
