Free cocktails at American Airlines lounges around the world

Business travelers on American Airlines will have one more offering when they visit the airline's Admiral Club lounge.

The airline recently announced that it will be providing visitors with free alcoholic beverages in its domestic lounges. Currently alcoholic beverages are free in international lounges but not in the U.S.

American will offer wine, beer and spirits to first and business class travelers who visit their domestic clubs, according to the airline. They did this after many customers asked why the drinks were free abroad, and not stateside.

“Updating our beverage selection to include complimentary alcoholic beverages is another example of American’s commitment to reinvest in our premium products and enhance the travel experience for our loyal members and guests,” said Nancy Knipp, American’s president of the Admirals Club lounges. “Our customers have asked for free drinks and we are delighted to respond to their request by providing this service for our existing and new members at our clubs worldwide.”

The complimentary drinks will be available after October 1.
