Travelers who purchase business or first class tickets to fly between the U.S. and Japan may have a bit of a surprise on their next flight to Japan.
On October 21, the Haneda Airport marked the official opening of its newest international terminal. The new terminal hopes to attract more business travelers by opening up a new first class, Sakura and arrival lounges at the airport.
Japan Airlines has also recently completed the renovations of its own Diamond Premium and Sakura Lounges on the North and South Wings of the terminal, and they were both open for first and business class passengers on October 20.
The new International Lounges at the new terminal will be open early in the morning until the last flight, allowing first and business class travelers to relax before they embark on a flight. The new first class lounge is modelled after the lounge at Narita Airport, while the Sakura Lounge will offer three zones for first and business class travelers.
