Qantas Airlines becomes an all-Apple airline


Business travelers who rely on their Apple technology when creating business presentations and organizing their meeting calendar may find their next trip with Qantas Airlines a little bit more Mac friendly.

The airline recently announced that they will be introducing Apple technology in their lounges throughout Australia,meaning that with will be an all-Apple airline.

The Australian airline will bring in a new range of Mac products, including the latest Mac computers, which will soon be available in all business class lounges.

CEO Alan Joyce said that the technology was unveiled most recently in Sydney, and Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth will receieve the new computers in November.

Not only is the airline offering new computers for business travelers, but they have also launched a iPhone app that will allow business class travelers to stay up to date with their flight information, along with finding a place to stay at their destination.

“Whether members are looking to fly, stay in a hotel, eat out, go shopping or hire a car, they can find and get directions to hundreds of partners near them," said Qantas Frequent Flyer chief executive, Simon Hickey. "And, if you have an iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS, you can search partners, located around you, with an augmented reality view.”
