New Boeing 787 Dreamliner to change luxury travel

The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner promises to make jet lag a thing of the past while taking luxury to the next level.

According to the Daily Mail, the Dreamliner made its debut at the Farnborough Air Show and awed many people with its size, quietness and green features.

The carbon-fiber build of the plane allows it to burn 20 percent less fuel than similar aircraft, according to the news source, which makes it seem quieter than others.

While the 250-seat aircraft is still being worked on, the prototype boasted much larger economy seats with much more legroom than is currently being offered.

The windows in the plane are larger and instead of pulling them shut, passengers can dim them electronically, allowing only some light to pass through if wanted.

According to the news source, there is nearly 10 percent more oxygen to breathe on the new plane than on other flights, and the air pressure isn’t as high.

For those who often commute on red-eye flights across the Atlantic, the Dreamliner offers passengers the latest anti-jet lag technology, with LED mood lights that ease travelers into the different time zones replacing fluorescent lights that come on at the end of the flight.

The first class area may include a bar and large, open spaces to walk, according to Boeing, if the individual airlines want to have that option.ADNFCR-3467-ID-19908327-ADNFCR
