United Airlines offers discounted business class tickets on Asian route

This summer, United Airlines customers who wish to purchase cheap business class airfare for flights between China and Japan can do so for a limited time, Agence France-Presse reports.

Travelers who buy business class tickets for the airline's route between Taipei, China and Tokyo, Japan before July 31 will receive a 34 percent discount as long as they fly before August 31, according to the news source.

Through this promotion, United provides travelers who normally may not purchase business class airfares with an opportunity to do so. In addition, the lower ticket prices do not translate to a drop in the quality of service that is offered on the airline's flights, according to the news outlet.

In fact, United is the first U.S. carrier to provide business class travelers flying out of Taiwan with a chance to enjoy the airline's 180-degree lie-flat seats, states the news source.

According to the airline's official website, United Business provides a variety of amenities to premium passengers before they even board their planes. At the airport, individuals who hold business class fares receive priority check-in, boarding and deplaning privileges that extend to bag delivery as well.

In addition, these travelers are allowed entry into the United Arrivals Suite, the United Red Carpet Club and the Star Alliance partner lounges. Individuals who have purchased business and first class tickets are allowed into the United Arrivals Suite, where passengers can grab a bite to eat or freshen up before or between flights.

Once passengers board their aircraft, they are treated to a pre-departure beverage as they familiarize themselves with the United Business seat. This luxury chair can be readjusted into a completely flat bed that is 6-feet and 4-inches long. However, these seats are only available to business class passengers who are flying aboard the carrier's 747, 767 and select 777 aircraft.

From their seats, passengers can further enjoy their flights as they choose from more than 150 hours of on-demand programming on their own 15.4-inch video monitor. To ensure an uninterrupted flying experience, travelers can also put on the noise-reducing headphones that they are provided with.

When passengers are not lying flat, they are treated to a three-course meal as well as a selection of premium wines, coffee, desserts, fruits and cheeses.
