British Airways to increase service to Saudi Arabia

By the end of October, individuals who prefer to buy first class tickets or business class airfares through British Airways will have more travel options when flying between Saudi Arabia and London, according to the airline's website.

British Airways recently announced that it will increase the number of flights offered between the two destinations for its winter schedule from a proposed 6 to a total of 12. As a result, premium passengers who travel to or from Riyadh or Jeddah now have more opportunities to enjoy the carrier's luxury services.

Since the airline resumed flights to the region, officials from British Airways have witnessed a heavy interest in flights between both kingdoms. Due to this fact, they realized that additional flights to Riyadh would be necessary.

"This move is a re-affirmation of our long-term commitment of serving our loyal customers in the kingdom and reinforcing the brand as the preferred carrier of choice for travel into the UK or for transiting to other destinations in the extensive British Airways network," said Paolo De Renzis, the airline's regional commercial manager Middle East.

The additional flights will use British Airway's Boeing 777, which features both first and business class cabins.

Travelers who purchase first class airfares will be treated to British Airways' premiere inflight service. In addition to premium services at the airport, passengers in this cabin can enjoy a variety of amenities. Among the state-of-the-art features that this luxury cabin is equipped with include an onboard lighting system that is designed to produce the look of natural light and personal windows with electronic blinds.

When passengers prefer to get some rest, British Airways' first class crew is available to provide soft cotton pajamas and convert their seats into fully flat beds. Rather than trying to sleep upright, travelers with first class tickets can rest on a quilted mattress with a 400-thread Egyptian cotton duvet.

Those who purchase business class tickets have a chance to enjoy British Airways' Club World cabin, which is designed to conform to passengers' travel needs.

Seats in the Club World cabin allow travelers to choose from four possible positions that are all customizable if minor adjustments are in order. If an individual has to get some work done during their flight, they also have the ability to raise a privacy screen.
